London 2012 Day 2 Report
Skudina And Price Unbeaten After Four

London 2012 Olympic Sailing Competition - Weymouth and Portland, Great Britain

Russia’s Ekaterina Skudina and Australia’s Olivia Price are the only two undefeated Women’s Match Racers after four race wins each from two race days.

Price, ranked sixth in the world has overcome all of the top four on her way to a perfect record. Price came through a tight finish against World #1 Anna Tunnicliffe (USA) in her first match of the day with very little separating them before she blew Lucy Macgregor away to win by 22 seconds.

Although Skudina is also undefeated she’s not come up against the top ranked sailors having faced and defeated Tamara Echegoyen (ESP), Renee Groeneveld (NED), Lotte Meldgaard (DEN) and Anna Kjellberg (SWE).

Plenty of water time remains with all crews going up against each other once but early victories will mean the Australians and Russian crews will sleep a little easier tonight.

The Women’s Match Racers resume tomorrow no earlier than 14:00 on the Nothe spectator course.
