2010 Trofeo Princesa Sofia
The next event in the 2010 ISAF World Sailing Cup (SWC) has competitors banging on the doors for the 24 available spots. The popularity of the newest Olympic sailing event, women’s match racing, continues to build as 38 entries from 17 nations were received before the 14 February deadline.

The 24 spaces will now be awarded with each nation receiving one entry along with the host nation, Spain, receiving an additional entry. The remaining six entries will be given out in order to the highest placing nations from last year’s SWC final standings who requested additional entries (GBR, NED, USA, AUS, FRA, and RUS).

As published on 15/02/2010 on the Official Notice Board - In accordance with point 3.9 of the Notice of Race, the event quota has been reached on 14 February 2010 in the Women’s Match Racing, with 38 applications from 17 nations. The entry allocation and explanation of the process is shown here.
