Open National Championship Frapa Women Match Race - Day One
Second Open Croatian Championship in Women’s Match Race
Yacht Club Frapa, Rogoznica, Croatia

With the weather conditions favourable for sailing, 12 knots of SE, the majority of First Round Robin races have been completed. The first day of Open Croatian Championship in WMR has started successfully. Racing area has been set in Rogoznica Bay. Thanks to favourable conditions, sailing took place from morning to late afternoon. 9 flights have been finished totalling 18 matches. The match between Tihana Tadinac from Croatia and Vesna Dekleva from Slovenia did not take place due to minor boat damage. This match is postponed for tomorrow.

Last year winner, Petra Kliba, has stated successfully with the first match win against host crew Tihana Tadinac of Marina Frapa. International crews Catarina Carvalho from Portugal and Zuzanna Gladysz from Poland have surprisingly accomplished 3 and 4 wins during the first race day.

To summarize, Petra Kliba, Vesna Dekleva and Zuzanna Gladysz share first place with 4 wins; Catarina Carvalho crew follows with 3 wins; Tihana Tadinac and Petra Zuber with 1, and Ana Gojčeta with 0 wins.

Sailing was very dynamic and exciting. The girls have demonstrated exceptional competitiveness and sailing skills in boat manoeuvring.

With the favourable weather conditions forecasted in the following days, 20 knots of SE, Yacht Club Frapa intends to continue with the Second Round Robin tomorrow. During the weekend semi-finals and final races will be conducted.
