Twelve sailors from four nations (Slovenia, Croatia, Austria, and Portugal) participated in the three day clinic at the Cleanport d.o.o. facilities in the Marina Izola. The clinic was conducted by Liz Baylis, WIMRA Executive Director, and Australian match racing champion, Katie Spithill.

When asked about the clinic, Katie Spithill said: “By the end of the clinic, the sailors were putting together the pieces we had taught and were definitely match racing. It was great to see them apply some of the lessons and be enthusiastic about doing more match racing in the future.”

One participant said “Thank you very much. You made my match racing life very much clearer. I’ve caught the fire!” Another said “Before the clinic I did not understand much about match racing, but now, at the end, everything about match racing is much more clear for me!”
