2011 Northern Lights Cup - Final
After an excellent two-day clinic led by USSTAG Coach Dave Perry, the eight international teams from countries set out to put their lessons to use in Sail Sheboygan’s fleet on Elliott 6ms on Lake Michigan. The first two days of the event saw the completion of a double round robin amongst the eight teams in light to moderate breeze. The final day saw thunderstorms disrupt the program and the racing was cancelled for the day. The scores form the round robin determined the winners. Juliana Senfft and her team (Gabriela Sa and Luciana Kopschitz) from Brazil were victorious to win their third Northern Lights Cup in four years.

The winning skipper of this event will be extended an invite the 2011 Buddy Melges Challenge, an ISAF Grade 1 event being held in Sheboygan August 21-27. The top placing US skipper will receive an invitation to the 2011 US SAILING Women’s Match Race Championship being held in New Orleans this November.
