Lysekil Women’s Match - Day Four
Camilla Ulrikkeholm is showing her strength in Lysekil Women’s Match

With more wind coming to Lysekil on the Swedish west coast, Danish sailor Camilla
Ulrikkeholm is making results in Lysekil Women’s Match. First she totally dominated
the quarterfinals. Then she put herself in a very good semi-final position, securing
2 – 0 against Stephanie Roble from Chicago, USA:
– We are very happy for the breeze that has come to Lysekil. More wind gives us the
opportunity to race more aggressively in the prestarts, and because of that we have
won a lot today, Ulrikkeholm smiles.

Camilla Ulrikkeholm raced extraordinary well during Thursdays’ races in Lysekil. She
passed undefeated through the quarterfinal round-robin of six crews:
– Our starts went very well. On the course I felt that the wind was steadier than
before, making it less expensive to choose the wrong way, Camilla explains.

In the other semi-final Australian Nicole Souter, world champion in Lysekil 2009,
raced against the other Danish semi-final sailor Trine Abrahamsen. Their matches
were closer and more interesting for all the spectators on the rocks surrounding the
race area, which the result of 1 – 1 shows:
– It was really exciting today, with a little bit of wind, says Souter, who won
Fridays’ last semi-final match after passing Trine Abrahamsen on the downwind, just
before the finish line.
– I thought there was more pressure coming on our side of the course, but that never
happened, Trine explains.
If Ulrikkeholm reaches the final, she would very much like to face her fellow club
member of the Royal Danish Yacht Club:
– We’re not there yet, but that would be fun, she smiles. At the other hand we’re
ready to fight anyone – now we just want to win!
