Recap - 2.0 Match Race Clinic Auckland 2026
We received this Recap of the recent 2.0 Women’s Match Racing Clininc in Auckland, New Zealand:

Recap - 2.0 Match Race Clinic Auckland 2026!!

That’s a wrap on our inaugural Auckland clinic, in partnership with Predict Wind.

We were stoked to have 25 girls and women join us, with 6 different nationalities among them!

The forecast was bang on and the weather played ball throughout the weekend with good breeze and beautiful sunshine. We were lucky to start our days with yummy breakfast thanks to @urbangourmetcatering and yoga led by the amazing Kate Montgomery.

A gusty southwesterly kept the 5 teams on their toes as they progressed all the way from wrapping their heads around the Elliott 7’s on day 1, to full double round robin match racing on Sunday! There were some epic battles to watch, putting drills into practice on the race course.

This weekend was as much about connection as the practical skills. 2.0 Racing’s mission is to help create a clearer pathway for the next generation of talented sailors. We simply love our sport and want to see more women out there match racing, growing the fleet and the sport!

Thank you to Yachting New Zealand for helping create a space for connection and SailGP for leading the conversation with incredible speakers, Liv Mackay, Anna Weis, and our very own Charlotte Porter . 60 women in one room sharing knowledge across different generations, disciplines and levels of expertise.

And last but not least a huge thank you to all our supporters who make this possible and provided our girls with fantastic goodie bags to set them up for the weekend: Norse Wear, Sol Goods, Clique Fitness, Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron, Leaft Foods, and the Promo Lab.

Multiple teams from the clinic are set to compete at the NZ Women‘s Match Race Nationals next week! We can’t wait to see them out on the race course (probably using our own tricks against us, we‘d be proud gals!)
